so yea. it's been a good chunk of time since i've written. sorry 'bout that.

to catch up... christmas was fun. i got some jewlery and a candle and some other stuff from mike's parents, a wedding etiquette (whatever) book from his grandma, the martha stewart wedding planner from alaina and matt, and a watch and a pda from my parents. and some assorted gift exchange stuff and engagement stuff. it was a good time. too much eating, though. weight loss thwarted for a bit. oh well, it's the holidays. humor me.

had a good engagement party. played pool with jenn. made out with her from afar (haha). saw a lot of people i hadn't seen in a long time and i really enjoyed that. and everyone played nice.

just got back from old chicago with becky and kelly. saw someone we all agreed looked familiar. then all of the sudden it hit me... "that's mike boyer. i dated him in 8th grade." after like, 10 minutes of wondering who it was. and i didn't even finish my first drink yet. so i went and talked and it was good.

for some reason, i have the urge to go out and sit at a bar and drink. not stand or dance or anything... just go to like the beer stube or old chicago or the stockade and drink some gin and tonics with my friends.

which i have done. more, i tell you! more!

as for now, i'm going to go read some email, play online for a bit and sleep... i need that badly.
